The Anthem of Creation, or simply the Anthem, is an unknowable force and source of pure creation in the world of Anthem. The Shapers once harnessed its power to create the world as it is, but left their creation unfinished.
The Anthem cannot be easily contained, and unleashes world-altering cataclysms, as well as corrupting any who try to wield its power. It is also in direct conflict with the instruments of the Shapers strewn throughout the lands, a conflict largely responsible for the constant, violent reshaping of the world.
