The Legion of Dawn was a faction of human heroes, lead by General Helena Tarsis, who were the first to create and pilot javelins. During the darkest chapter in humanity's history, it was the Legion of Dawn that acted as a guiding light, and whose protection made way for the creation of fortified human settlements safe from the dangers of the outside world.[1]
In time, a group splintered off from the Legion and would go on to become the Freelancers.[2]
